Really nice village from the 1642. The actors know a lot about that age and will share with you stories and habits of the past, don't hesitate to engage a conversation with them. Run by volunteers, is surrounded by the nature and is a wonderful spot of fresh air in the city. Very cheap tickets (the most expensive is 5.00 £).
Fabulous little find in the middle of town. Our family had a wonderful time here, very interesting and all the villagers were more than happy to chat and answer any questions we had. Very reasonable entrance fee, we would definitely return.
The Solent, Haslar Rd, Gosport PO12 2AS, UK – 023 9251 0354
Took my grandson who is 9 years old. He particularly enjoyed the interactive exhibits. The tour of the submarine itself was very well organised, entering at one end and passing all the way through. There were guides explain the details and, of course, a periscope to look through.
Great attraction , I’ve been twice now the tour guides I’ve had so far have all served either on that very boat or that spec and have been great fountains of knowledge and funny stories and make it a great tour. I’ve bought the years pass for the Portsmouth dockyard so will take in more when I’m back down in the next few months !

I'm a sceptic in life to be honest and I don't leave reviews very often. However being new to family fun paddle boarding I was browsing for some wetsuit boots with £10 - 12 in mind. Andy reeks of experience and instead of walking away (which I would normally do) when he picked up a boot 3 times the price it was easy to see the merits of the product and I believe that I got it right first time thanks to him, rather than buying cheap and wishing I hadn't. Yes it's only pottering about on calm water but with peace of mind regarding the quality and function of the shoe. We also discussed that not many people leave positive reviews on the internet but I found myself at the keyboard and remembered that (no mean feat at my age LOL) so decided to post.
Andy and his staff are full of knowledge, able to answer many questions offering good advice, around nice guys and a extremely well stocked shop

Quay Lane Boatyard, Quay Lane, Gosport PO12 4LJ, UK – 023 9252 4214
Very good place to moor ur boat cheap rent as well
We have used this small, friendly boat yard for many years now and will continue to do so. Basically, if the staff at this yard can't help you out or at least point you in the right direction you must have an extremely serious snag. Another good point to consider is Quay Lane boat yard is the one that the locals use including the local fishermen! There is also an on site chandlery (Seapost? and an awning/cover business (Covers Afloat) There is even a cafe and taxi service directly alongside the gate to yard. Give them a CALL you will be pleasantly surprised.
Gosport Marina, Mumby Rd, Gosport PO12 1AH, UK – 023 9252 4811
Great for mooring for the shops. Castle Inn just outside the marina does great pub food. Big portions. Can get fuel for the boat at the marina, has a cafe bar which is quite nice.
Staff friendly and very helpful. Facilities good. Could do with a few repairs on walkways and some of decking is a little noisy to walk on.
Unit 8, Haslar Marina, Haslar Rd, Gosport PO12 1NU, UK – 023 9200 6427
Amazing experience for the team, shooting across the Solent on a rib, dodging the yachts visiting for Cowes week and sailing up the Medina for a pint! Would recommend :)
Victory Gate, HM Naval Base, Portsmouth PO1 3LJ, UK – 023 9283 9766
Fantastic for anyone who loves naval history and engineering. Very family friendly. Amazing helpful and knowledgeable staff along with outstanding and passionate volunteers to increase and support your understanding of Naval life. Exceptionally easy to get to by public transport as it is adjacent to the train, bus and ferry terminals. It was fabulous to see the brand new HMS Elizabeth and find out more about her construction. I was also lucky enough to be on-site for a 21 gun salute acknowledging the Queen's anniversary of her succession to the throne. I have now visited HMS Victory, Mary Rose, HMS Warrior, HMS Alliance, Submarine museum, HMS M.33, Naval museum, Jutland, Action Stations, Boat House 4 (including the restaurant) and the Harbour Tour. Looking forward to the Royal Marines Museum opening in 2020. This time I purchased annual tickets online as they were the best value for money. Additional charge applies for Mini Ports, Laser Quest and Mary Rose. The HMS Victory Navy Strength Gin is also worth a try and available by the bottle from the gift shops.
8 attractions plus several free ones, lots of eateries (not cheap so take packed lunches if you don't want to fork out), stacks of history. Children love Action Stations, with climbing walls, Laser Quest and other fun activities. Adults adore The Mary Rose Museum. During school holidays, the museum has fun activities for children. A tremendous day out but you'll need several days to make the most of everything on offer! Update: Mary Rose Museum tickets now need to be purchased separately, either at the designated ticket office at the Dockyard entrance gate or in the Mary Rose Museum itself. Kids go free during the Summer when adult tickets are purchased for both PHD and MRM.

Great view in a beautiful day. Well worth a trip. There is a glass floor but I wasn’t brave enough to try it out
Didn't go up the tower today, but my son loves this building. Was a great pleasure for me and my lad watching people abseil down it... For a good cause.

Because it's really Alver Lake in Little Anglesea Road, Gosport
Love going here to the park and watching the rugby. There's a lot of birds here and I saw a green woodpecker for the first time. The park is lovely, clean and great for everyone.
